The legendary Maritzburg Show had to be postponed after the South African Weather Service issued severe weather advisories. This amazing event have been anticipated for a very long time keeping fans and supported disappointed based on the sad news. The event is supposed to hold on the 20th of October 2024. They have been so many plans and preparation and anticipation by fans and supporters. This event is to feature so many amazing and talented musical artists as well as celebrities. The event was supposed to take place on Sunday evening, the day before the much anticipated Maskandi event. Destructive winds, heavy rains, enormous hail, and plentiful lighting are expected on Sunday in uMgungundlovu, eThekwini, and parts of the Ugu and iLembe districts, according to the meteorological office.
The Maskandi event was supposed to take place on the last day of the Maritzburg Show, but Umeda, the event’s organizers, had to postpone it due to the severe weather warning. James Martin, the lead the organizer, said the safety officers recommended that the remaining parts of the event be rescheduled for safety reasons. We think it’s prudent to postpone the rest of the show. The main artists have likewise made the decision to postpone for safety concerns. Martin replied, “We would hate if any accidents or trouble were derived from traveling late to or from the show.”
