Tragedy: Well-known Maskandi Fan Dies after shedding insult on Gcaba family

Tragedy has hit a popular maskandi music fan. Dubula Mbatha who is currently 32 years of age was brutally murdered in his own pool of blood. This sad incident happened around Johannesburg on a cool evening. Dubula was apparently shot 16 times. The shooting happened around Sasol garage near Jules Hostel in Jeppestown on a Sunday.

This started after he insulted a very popular and powerful taxi boss. This incident was made on social media platform.

Earlier this month, Dubula posted himself on his Tiktok account. He recorded himself insulting Mavava Sikhakhane who is a member of the popular Gcaba family and taxi owner in Durban. The Tiktok video however went viral reaching the Gcaba family awareness.

Some said he was on a visit to his friend’s place when he was gunned down. The visit was at Jules Street hostel close to a petrol station.

After the shots, he was later admitted in the hospital where he later passed on later the next morning. He couldn’t hold it as he sustained serious injuries.

Recently, Taxi Association went on strike which led to people talking in Durban. This made Dubula come out to record himself on Tiktok page saying things about Gcaba family. Sikhakhane who was however the leader of the Taxi association strike saw his video an social media and left no comment. However, most people feared for Dubula as they know what the Gcaba family are capable of.

After the video must have spread, Dubula can out again with another video which showed him apologizing for the insults rendered. He also stated that Sikhakhane is like an older brother to him and he has all respect for him. The apology later seemed to have calmed the situation down.

Following the comments of some people, some said that he is always saying bad things about people on social media platform. They further claimed that those people must have come for Dubula but not the Gcaba family. Maskandi artists such as Mthandeni, Gcokama elisha, Mdletshe was once his online victims. He has said sad things about them online.

The police department are currently investigating a murder case of the 32 years old Dubula. They have further urged the public to be aware of the environment as they go about the case. Some people have different questions on this case as the police has further assured them that they will soon get answers.
