A Maskandi group called Izingane Zoma was founded in 1993 and is based in Nquthu, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.Izingane Zoma has established itself as one of South Africa’s “queens of maskandi music” .Their highly political songs have been well received and have been charted in their native nation. In the South African market, these vocal trio’s albums have sold in large quantities, reaching gold and platinum status. In the Best Video type, the group received nominations for the 2011 SATMA Awards.

Established in 1993 by producer Busani Khuzwayo, Izingane Zoma is among the female-led bands that revolutionized the maskandi scene.
