ABOUT IMITHENTE

Imithente is an amazing Maskandi group from Johannesburg, South Africa. These amazing and wonderful group comprises of three individual with amazing talents. Three female singers are from KwaZulu-Natal which their names are Buselaphi Gxowa, Dumisile Manana, and Nokwazi Ntuli. They joined the band in the year 1993, following the passing of the band’s guitarist, Simosakhe Mthalane. They have received SAMA and SATMA honors and released multiple albums that achieved gold sales in their native nation. These three talented individuals had passion for music since their early stage of life and is still moving with that passion and aspiration.

ABOUT BUSELAPHI GXOWA

Buselaphi was born in Nongoma, Ngolotshe region, KwaZulu Natal, South Africa. She was raised there and was well-respected by the kids in the neighborhood when she was younger. Her parents taught her that this was the fundamental rule of life, no matter how old she was. After that, she enrolled at Ngolotsha Community School, where even at a young age she demonstrated herself to be an extraordinarily gifted child. Eight years later, she took part in extracurricular sports and did very well in them. She was particularly skilled at netball, scoring goals, and singing in the school chorus. She also performed in other cultural activities like dancing and beadwork. She completed her elementary education.

She therefore went to Hambangendlela High School to continue her education, and PhumuzuZulu High School was where she completed her matriculation. She remained the best in both traditional music and netball during her time in high school. Following her graduation, she requested permission from her parents to move to Johannesburg in search of employment, leaving her hometown of Ngolotshwe behind.
