MASKANDI star Khuzani Mpungose finally speaks about his late grandmother
Khuzani Mpungose who is a famous maskandi star has recently lost his gogo (grandmother). He has finally spoken up and narrated how he was raised by the woman after the death of his parents. He also told the people how they struggled together to survive in this harsh world. His grandma has suffered sever stroke problem and tragically passed on on the 23rd December 2024. His Gogo who is 88 years Couldn’t bear the pains and passed on. She has currently led to rest on the 26th of December 2024.
The funeral was attended by other amazing maskandi artists as well as fans, Families and friends. During his speech to the congregation, he narrated how they struggled hard to meet some earn and how he became a security guard which he didn’t earn much from it. Some of the maskandi artists includes Ntencane, Jumbo, Lungelo, Ukhozi FM presenter Tshatha Ngobe, and former Ukhozi FM presenter Linda Sibiya, among others.
He also narrated how they finally made it and he became more famous with so many investments and how he built a home for his gogo. According to him, he started picturing building his new house when he was still a security guard in Pretoria for about four years. He also shared his story of when they couldn’t afford a decent home as his gogo raised him in a home that leaked when it rained. During that period, h didn’t have enough to carter for them both.
When he started his music career, he said it was hard to visit his gogo at her home which was in Nkandla as he was pretty much occupied due to shows and performances which he had to attend. He was even at an award show when he was informed about his deceased gogo.
He also narrated that when he built his house, some people threatened to make his house known to the public and he was scared due to his gogo’s safety. Most times, he comes home to visit his gogo and also spends time with her.
He further gave thanks to God for all he has accomplished for his gogo before she passed.
