BIOGRAPHY
Sabelo Mashelela Ngubane who is popularly known as Mashelela in the on stage and music industry is a well known maskandi musician. He hails from a small community Olundi in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa. He was born on the 29th of September 1990. He speaks English and Zulu language. He is currently based in Johannesburg.
CAREER
Mashelela started his music journey at an early stage of life. He was raised in an environment filled with music and also a family that loves music. He joined some band while growing up even registered with his school choir. He once contested with his school choir and always came out as one of the best. He also performs at local centers and casual Zulu cultural ceremonies. Some of those ceremonies may include Umgangela, umvalelo, imfundelo and so on. He also attended shows which were performed by other maskandi artists.
Mashelela has an amazing vocal and trained to be perfect with it. He sings with so much passion and meaning. He was once nominated as the best vocalist and dancer due to his amazing voice and talent and how ever won. This award took place in the year 2008 which was the Idlamu Traditional dance group which he joined.
Later in the year, he moved to Johannesburg where he met other amazing bands. He merged with the Garaji Ngubane to form a music group. This Garaji Ngubane was filled with so many talented individuals as they also meet every weekend to practice their song.
In the year 2019, his group “Garaji Ngubane” made their first studio record which they titled ÍSKHWELE SESHENDE which consisted of 12 tracks and a remix track. Their song had a lot of views and comment on social media platforms. His songs are also sold in some digital shops and downloaded online in online music application. He was once invited by Ukhozi Fm for interview regarding to one of his songs that made him popular.
In the year 2020, he released his second album titled “1-1 Aziyemashendeni”. In the year 2022, he released his third album which he titled “Icala lobushende” featuring Luve Dubazane

Mashelela was born on the 29th of September 1990.
EDUCATION
Mashelela is very educated. He went to primary school KwaNyoni Primary School and continued his high school at Zwelonke High school which he completed. He later journeyed to Johannesburg College for Mechanical Engineering after which he went fully into music school.
RELATIONSHIP STATUS
Mashelela is in a relationship but still makes it a private one. Although he has been involved in so many failed relationships.
