What To Know About Mjabulisi

Mjabulisi also known as Zwelithini Dlamini is a talented poet, spoken word artist, author and mc who is located in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. The 23 year old carpenter calls himself a cheerful person with sensible habits.

He has given performances on stages in Bulawayo, his home town, Victoria Falls, Beitbridge, and Harare which are all located in Zimbabwe. He even performed a speech for Auxillia Mnangagwa, the first lady of Zimbabwe. His poetry sets “Survival of the Fittest” and “Ithendele Elihlehe Likhala Ligijma,” which roughly translates to “A smart guineafowl is one that cries out as it is running,” were both released in 2022. Portia Tshuma co-wrote both of these collections. He said, “We get to share ideas together,” as an explanation for why he works with others on his writing. Two eyes are not as good as four. The young artist shows his appreciation for his history and ancestry by frequently dressing in traditional Ndebele attire and having facial art done for his shows.

Additionally, Mjabulisi has published a poetry CD called “Sisempini.” Poets like Thaluso Da Poet and Siphithi Phiti are also featured on the record. Mjabulisi has lamented many challenges faced by artists in Zimbabwe, such as a lack of money and little room for advancement. She claimed that both governmental and private sector engagement can assist address such an issue while simultaneously boosting the nation’s culture.
