The Maskandi music scene is rapidly increasing, and fans are anticipating an incredible June 2024! Ngathi Nguwe – Umafikizolo (June 1, 2024)
Mr. Hit, nicknamed Umafikizolo, is back and better than ever! We are really excited to get our hands on his upcoming album, Ngathi Nguwe, which is set to release on June 1st, 2024. After release of his four-track EP, Ngathi Ungafa, on October 21, 2022, with great success, fans will likely get an album with at least ten tracks that includes collaborations with other gifted musicians. Mthandeni, South Africa – Future Project (TBA)
Mthandeni SK has a devoted following throughout South Africa thanks to his compelling stage presence and lyrical vocals. Among the Maskandi genre, he stands out due to the frequent study of love, relationships, and societal points in his music.
Popular musician Mthandeni SK is making fans excited about his new record, which has not yet been given a title. He has been using his social media accounts to vigorously promote this much awaited film since March. He informed his followers in a recent Facebook post that the album will be released in June, yet no specifics such as the release date have been revealed. Alongside this announcement was a studio photo that might have been used for the album cover. Mthandeni is seen wearing a chef’s cap in the photo, which caused his followers to react in different ways.
The Recording Industry of South Africa (RiSA) awarded Mthandeni’s last production, “Amakhothangqoko,” two gold and three platinum certificates in addition to receiving a great deal of praise. After receiving glowing reviews for his last 5-track EP “Wajola Ngiyajola,” uMzukulu Kashafuza’s next effort has created a lot of buzz among his devoted fan base. However, there are still unknowns regarding the project, such as whether it will be an EP or a complete album.
Traditional Maskandi sounds are combined with modern elements in UMzukulu Kashafuza‘s music to create a distinctive and energizing sound. His music is fascinating and approachable since his lyrics frequently touch on issues of love, culture, and daily life.
Coming Soon: Ibhova Elincane (TBA)
Popular Maskandi artist Ibhova Elincane has declared that he will be beginning a new project in 2024. Without disclosing the project’s title yet, he recently posted the project’s front cover which was created by Dlamini Graphics on his Facebook page. The project was meant to be released sooner, so he apologized and thanked his supporters for their patience.
In 2022, he presented his last solo album, “Bashaywa Isazelo,” which included 14 tracks with collaborations from musicians including Bobo Mfana Wepiki, Mnyovu, and Mqansa. Ibhova Elincane is also a member of Abadlwane Bebhova, a 3-man Maskandi trio that produced a collaborative project called “I Jump Suit” in July 2023.
Ibhova Elincane has loyal fans throughout South Africa because of his compelling stage appearance and strong voice. This time around, fans can anticipate a full 14-track project with popular collaborations.
