ABOUT BHEKUMUZI LUTHULI

Bhekumuzi Luthuli was born on the 13th July 1961. He was a well known South AfricanMaskandimusician .Bhekumuzi was born in a small rural area named Kwa-Maphumulo, near theKwa-Zulu Natal . He started his traditional Zulu music when he was a teenager with his home-made guitar. in the early stage of 1980s, he merged with the MbaqangabandOshimi, which was based in Durban. After he released two albums with his group, Luthuli decided to release his own solo career chasing it hard and big. UnembezaandWongikhonzela Enhliziyweni was his second and third song during his journey in his solo chase. He won so many awards such as the OKTV awards.He produced at most 17 albums during this section and is streamed my millions of people worldwide. He later released over 23 albums making sales worldwide. In 2010, he released Imali YabeLungumaking a lot of sales from it.

LIFE/CAUSE OF DEATH

Bhekumuzi Luthulilived an amazing life while pursing his dreams a career. He found interest in Maskandi songs and produced home-made guitar to support his aspiration and dreams. During his life in the early 1970s, he joined the mbaqanga band Oshimi in Durban’s Umlazi township. Together with the band, he released 2 albums helping in the promotion and contribution of the band’s interest. They gave unique sound and produced amazing melodies. He decided to push to his own solo chase in the early 1980s. He developed his own aspiring interest and equally made name for himself.

At the age of 48, he sadly passed away which he suffered from serious stroke in McCord Hospital. He struggled for his life for weeks. His death really influced the maskandi music. He represented africa so well leaving a remembering mark of his legacy on us. His honor can never be forgotten.
